How do I become a Photographer?

I am 18 and sick of the type of work I do, I have always been good at just being original and creative, writing stories, but I have especially enjoyed taking photographs, I have always had people admire the type of photographs I have taken. I know that it will not be easy to earn a living taking photographs, but as long as I can make a living, I would rather a job I enjoy, rather than a job I hate.

How do I become a photographer?
