Is this Metal detector worth the money?

I have one of these bounty hunter gold digger metal detectors and I love it I am looking for one for my brother but I am not sure if I will get a dud the reviews on this site are making me confused but I trust target because it is a multi million dollar store so would it be safe for me to buy this metal detector on target?
