What is a good weekly weight lifting routine for beginners?

I am an 18 male who has never really lifted before and just got a gym membership and would like someone who is experienced in this field to give me a basic effective weekly weightlifting/running routine. It would help more if you would specify what kind of lifts i should do for whatever area of muscle i am working.
