Problem with Welcome to your new homepage banner?

I understand this is part of the new Yahoo front page format.
However, the issue we're facing is that this banner and announcement box appears every time we visit the yahoo front page. We close the box but the banner and box appear the next time we launch firefox.
How do we get this to stop happening?
