Should I play the drums?

I'm 13 and I have a burning desire to learn the drums. However, I've heard other people say drums are boring if you're playing alone? Also, I'd like to be in a band one day and i feel like I'd have a better chance as a drummer since guitarists are so commonly found. i always pay attention to the drums in the music I listen to and watch drum covers on YouTube all the time. I think it's the coolest thing. Can I get some drummers to tell me if I should play?
