What are some cheap and good moving companies?

I m moving from the St. Louis area to Roanoke, Texas and I need a moving company that will move a king sized mattress, a dresser, mirror, night stand, and several boxes of clothes. My budget is about $1000. I might be able to pay a bit more. I ll be moving at the end of July. I ve spent hours upon hours trying to find the best one but I just can t find any that aren t meant to be moving an entire house. All their flat rates are meant for over 2,000 pounds, but I won t be hauling more than 400 pounds. Would it just be cheaper for me to buy a dresser, mirror, and nightstand, and king mattress when I get down there or are there any moving companies that are cost efficient enough for me?
