Is it worth replacing a sliding aluminium security door with a more modern stronger one?

Hi all,

I live in a block of units and own my unit. I live in the first floor so I'm above ground level but not very far at all really.I have a balcony with, at the moment, a diamond aluminium grill panel and sliding security door. They work but they seem very flimsy to me and although they're a visual deterrent, I don't think in reality they are particularly strong.
