Metal detecting tips and tricks? Empty Metal detecting tips and tricks?

Ok so I've gone metal detecting 3 times now with my White's Coinmaster and so far I've only found what I believe the MD community calls clad coins? I've found 2 quarters, 2 dimes, 1 nickel, and 8 pennies. The places I've detected are called Klineline Lake in Salmon Creek WA
