WHy do some people think Homeopathy is fake?

Why? All they say is it has no active ingredients? Have they ever tried one specific remedy from a practitioner. Because I and my family have found it to work for years. Certainly a form of medicine cannot work consistently if its a placebo effect. And to be frank, I did not believe in this until I found out it.
