Where i get some information of baby bedding?

I am looking at what bedding to get for my new baby, but I look at the Babies R Us Catalog the more confused when I get. They have many kind of cotton blankets, acrylic blankets, fleece blankets, terry fitted sheets, cotton sheets and jersey fitted sheets. But What do I get? and how many of each? I have no idea.
