How long does it take for asphalt to set/cure?

I am trying to fix a somewhat large and very awkwardly shaped area in my driveway using cold bag asphalt. I needed to block off (frame) a section so I could get decent compaction (I am using hand tamper). I'm wondering how long I need to wait before removing the framing so I can finish the job?
