Is being an estate agent a good job?

Now I'm 16 and have my final interview with bairstowes estate agency, it's for a one year apprenticeship and a job at the end if I pass as an estate agent.

Bairstow Eves have a terrible reputation. Google it. Apprenticeships are a con which involve them paying you the absolute minimum for full time work. Estate Agents do not need to have qualifications in the UK, all they need is a driving licence. The job consists of selling houses. I know as I did this job for 8 years for 3 different companies.
