Gold and silver are resistant to corrosion and easily worked. If they were not corrosion-resistant, the jewelry would quickly tarnish.

Gold and silver are resistant to corrosion. They are also very malleable and are also ductile . Hence they are suitable for making intricate designs. They are also quite nonreactive and if they were not corrosion-resistant, the jewelry would quickly tarnish.
