Can I have things removed from my medical records?

In order to get a job as a support worker, they require a medical report. The thing is I had an abortion when I was 17, and again when I was 19. I had my reasons for doing this and have lived with some regret, however I feel I did the right thing. This is NOT something I want to explain to my employer? Surely they don't have the right to this information? Can I have this removed from my record?
